1. Cloudesley Association Meeting

Just a reminder that you are all invited to come and meet Stephen Doe, acting police sergeant for the Neighbourhood Policing Team, West Barnsbury Ward and his team at our next meeting.

Meeting details are as follows:

26 JANUARY 2016
6.45 -8pm

(many thanks to the team at The Drapers for letting us use this space).

The meeting agenda is as follows:

• Introduction
• AGM Matters
• Neighbourhood Policing Team to give us an overview of current issues and how they are tackling local crime
• Q&A session with our Neighbourhood Policing Team
• Discussion about possible street party

Please feel free to tell your neighbours who may not have signed up to Cloudesley Association messages about the meeting as we suspect there will be a number of people who would welcome the opportunity to have a Q&A session with our local police force.

2. Dowrey Street Site

We have been in contact with Islington Council once again to establish when works will commence.

The council has indicated that it is their intention to begin works on site at the end of February (week commencing 29th Feb) with the following activities:

• Services isolation and disconnections
• Site accommodation
• Tree works
• Asbestos removal
• Hoarding
• Soft Strip

It is envisaged that these works will take approximately 5 weeks.

The main works to demolish the existing building and build the new will then immediately follow.

They have confirmed that they will be in touch soon to advise the date of our pre-start meeting with neighbours, and this is likely to be the week of 15th February (2 weeks before works begin). They have also confirmed that they will notify the residents association and leaflet drop to the surrounding properties.

3. Lumiere London

You may well have received a flyer in relation to this but King's Cross is taking part in "Lumiere London" from 14th until 17th January with various events.

If you are aware of any event, consultation or news item that you would like us to include in our next newsletter, please let us (or your street rep) know.

As ever, if you know of any neighbour who is not on the Cloudesley Association e mail distribution list, please pass this e mail on and/or ask them to provide me with their contact details so that they can be kept in the loop.
